Strong arts programming doesn’t happen by chance. It happens through intentional investment in both teachers and students.

The ArtWorks program continues to spark creativity and support both teachers and students across Orange County Public Schools (OCPS). With your support, we provided meaningful professional learning, increased access to free essential art materials, and strengthened classroom experiences.

Together, we’ve helped create inspiring learning environments where students can explore, design, and succeed.

Aunt Winnie’s Art Corner

In its first year on Pencil Boy Curbside, Aunt Winnie’s Art Corner expanded opportunities for artistic exploration, with over 80% of shoppers requesting art supplies.

Overall, more than $1 million in art materials were distributed to Orange County classrooms through Aunt Winnie’s Art Corner at the Free Teacher Supply Store and online ordering for curbside pick up.

World Art Day

To honor World Art Day, we introduced three cross-curricular art kits featuring lesson plans and all supplies needed to complete 25 projects. Celebrating the holiday for an entire week, teachers explored each project before choosing one to bring back to their classrooms with 80% of shoppers selecting an art kit.

In total, 350 kits were distributed, supporting the creation of 8,750 student art projects across classrooms. These experiences helped spark creativity and confidence in students everywhere.

Professional Development

Hosted by OCPS to kick off the school year, 111 teachers attended a workshop led by educators from The Morse Museum. Additionally, 82 teachers later joined sessions at The Morse Museum, diving deeper into the work of Louis Comfort Tiffany.

After each workshop, art supply kits were distributed to help the teachers turn inspiration into hands-on artistry in their classrooms.

Art Kits

To top off the end of the school year, 17 teachers participated in a bonus workshop taught by local artist Patricia Byron of The Crealdé School of Art, where they learned the benefits of art journaling and left with a class set of supplies.

Overall increased workshop participation, including repeat learners, led to the distribution of 74 total art kits, resulting in nearly 11,000 student art projects throughout the 2025-2026 school year.

The impact we’ve made together is only the beginning. Each paintbrush, glue stick, and lesson shared represents a child discovering their voice through art, but there is still more to be done.

By becoming a monthly donor, you can ensure that this creative momentum continues into the next school year. Your ongoing support provides a steady stream of essential materials and learning opportunities for teachers and students who rely on these resources.

Join us in sustaining this impact as a Classroom Hero, a monthly donor, because when creativity is nurtured consistently, students don’t just learn – they thrive.
