Twenty-five years ago, A Gift for Teaching was created to fill a need. Today, we empower educators and inspire future leaders.

Local students needed supplies to learn, teachers needed tools to teach, and businesses were unknowingly discarding items that could be recycled and re-purposed for educational use. Since its inception in 1998, A Gift for Teaching is still the glue that connects it all with a simple concept: improve public education by providing free resources and surplus materials to educators for their students who needed it most.

Since 1998, the community has helped distribute more than $160 MILLION worth of educational resources through A Gift for Teaching to empower educators and inspire future leaders.
