In the 2024-2025 school year, A Gift for Teaching excitedly launched a special “Aunt Winnie’s Art Corner” section on Pencil Boy Express – The Mobile Free Store! This expansion is bringing more art into classrooms, ensuring that teachers at schools farthest from our Free Teacher Supply Store have the opportunity to access more high-quality art supplies at no cost, just as if they were shopping in-store.

And the impact doesn’t stop there!

Through a special partnership with The Morse Museum, we continue to enhance art education for students and teachers. Five free professional development workshops will equip Orange County public school art teachers with innovative teaching methods and tools this academic year.

In the fall semester alone, participating educators received classroom art kits to create 7,261 incredible student projects—from cultural medallions inspired by the World’s Fairs to 3D models of the Tiffany Chapel, crafted using iconic artistic techniques. With more workshops planned for the second half of the year, the creativity is only just beginning to flow.

When you support A Gift for Teaching, you do more than provide pencils, backpacks, and paper — you unlock imagination, foster self-expression, and inspire a love for the arts in students who might not have had an opportunity otherwise.

But many classrooms still need supplies to finish the second half of the school year – more teachers need support and more future leaders are waiting for their chance to shine.

This is where our amazing Classroom Heroes step up.

By joining this dedicated team of monthly donors, you will bring more art into classrooms to spread color, creativity, and new opportunities for students. Every brushstroke, every sketch, and every handmade masterpiece will be a reflection of your monthly generosity.

Because of you, teachers will feel supported, students can discover their artistic voices, and together, we can create true impact in our community.
