It’s not “just a backpack” for students, it’s a launchpad for learning.
This summer, our community proved once again that when we come together, we can transform classrooms and futures. More than 60 businesses, groups, and supporters joined forces with A Gift for Teaching for the annual Supply Drive for Success – and the results were inspirational.
Together, more than 223,270 supplies were collected and $95,410+ was raised to give students a stronger start to the new school year. This includes the generosity of supporters who donated during a limited-time giving opportunity that doubled impact and delivered even more supplies where they’re needed most. A special thanks to the matching funders: The Joe & Sarah Galloway Foundation, The Bond Foundation, Valencia College, and Addition Financial.
But this free access to supplies doesn’t stop once classes starts. Open all school year, A Gift for Teaching provides more than $82,480 worth of free educational resources to teachers every day. This means fewer educators reaching into their own pockets for teaching supplies, fewer students feeling unprepared without the tools to learn, and more opportunities for every child to succeed with confidence and excitement.
When Students Have the Essentials, They Gain So Much More Than Supplies
These results will be felt in hundreds of classrooms across Central Florida. To keep this momentum going for the rest of the school year, become a Classroom Hero today. A monthly gift of $25 can help equip three classrooms with essential supplies to ensure students continue walking into school knowing they are supported and prepared to learn all year long.
A heartfelt thank-you to these community partners who stepped up for this year’s Supply Drive for Success!
