Ready To Read Book Drive

March is National Reading Month

Join us in taking a stand on summer reading to spark imagination and curiosity for learning outside of the school year! You can help stop the “Summer Slide” by providing teachers with free reading books and supplies for their students to continue learning beyond the classroom.

The “Summer Slide” is the tendency for students to lose some of the educational gains they made during the previous school year. Having the tools to engage in fun learning opportunities over the summer encourages students to develop habits to be ready to learn in the new academic year.

Ensure local children have the books and supplies they need to be ready to read this summer and sign up to start a book drive today!

Download our tool kit for fun ideas and information on how to start a drive for new and gently-used reading books at work or in the community!

For every $1 received, The Bond Foundation will double the donation, up to $2,500, to provide up to $20 worth of supplies for local students!

Start a social movement by taking a selfie donating your favorite book with #ReadyToRead @AGiftForTeaching at these community drives and events taking a stand on summer reading!

Please note we cannot accept religious or violent reading material.

Schedule a donation drop off at A Gift For Teaching, Monday through Friday from 9:30am – 4:30pm, by calling 407.318.3123 today!
