Ready To Read Book Drive Events 2020

Join us in sparking imagination and curiosity for learning outside of the school year! Having the tools to engage in fun learning opportunities over the summer encourages students to develop habits to be ready to learn in the new academic year.

You can take a stand on summer reading by collecting books, making a gift, and supporting students through the following community events and drives:

March 1 – 31: Label your donation and drop off new/gently-used reading books for grades K-12 at your local Addition Financial branch.

March 1 – 31: Purchase and drop off your childhood favorite book at Writer’s Block Bookstore in Winter Park. Don’t forget teachers receive a 20% off discount in-store all year around!

March 3 – 31:  Receive a free bookmark and promo code for $5 off a youth ticket to “Matilda the Musical” for every book donated at The Garden Theatre box office.

March 28 (CANCELLED due to COVID-19 precautions): From 10am – 1pm at all Orlando Barnes & Noble locations, mention the “A Gift For Teaching Book Fair” prior to making your purchase and a percentage of your purchases will benefit A Gift For Teaching.

Don’t miss out on Storytime at 11am to discover the joy of reading with your family and find (and donate) a new favorite childhood book! Can’t make it in-store? Just shop online from March 28 – April 2 and use bookfair order ID number 12590105 when you checkout from the payment page.

Don’t forget to take a selfie donating your favorite book with #ReadyToRead @AGiftForTeaching to show your support!
