Volunteer Your Time

Individual: Assist with re-stocking, merchandising, check-in/out and helping teachers shop in the Free Store.
Group projects: Team build with your office, alumni club or association. Assist with large donations and projects. Scheduled by request.
Youth: High school and college students fulfill community service hours as an individual or as part of our Youth Volunteer Committee.
A Gift For Music: Assist during Winter and Spring concerts with set-up and post-concert team down. Opportunities available in December and May.
Volunteer Ambassador: Represent AGFT at community fairs and events as needed. Setup display, answer questions and distribute information.
Join a Committee
Product Procurement Committee: Help increase product donations and quality. Experience with manufacturers, distribution centers, transportation retail and more. Meets bi-monthly. For more information,

Development Committee: Engage and solicit area businesses to financially invest in AGFT and its corporate giving opportunities. Interpersonal and persuasion skills with fundraising experience a plus. Meets bi-monthly. For more information,

PR/Marketing Committee: Raise community awareness through media, events, video and more. Creativity, organization, design, writing and/or media relations experience a plus. Meets bi-monthly. For more information,

Finance: Oversees budget, financial controls, investments, etc. Experience with accounting, banking and trusts, audits, non-profit boards, etc. a plus. Meets bi-monthly. For more information,

Show & Tells: Share AGFT by inviting friends/colleagues to a one-hour tour and luncheon at the Free Store. In-house luncheons are held twice monthly or we can schedule an "on-the-road" Show & Tell at your office.
Backpack Giveaways: Support AGFT and schools by donating money to buy backpacks. Then, team build with your office by stuffing backpacks and delivering them directly to schools. Backpacks available for $50 each.
Gift wrappings: Surprise every teacher in one school with a boxed shopping trip! For a donation of $5000, your company will pack boxes then surprise a local school the with special delivery. Opportunities are available monthly and are a great team building experience.
Become an Education Ambassador

Teacher Ambassador: Represent AGFT by becoming a teacher liaison. Assist with teacher focus groups and attend teacher fairs. Must be comfortable speaking to small groups and have good customer service skills. Marketing research experience a plus but not required.
School Ambassador: Represent AGFT by visiting schools during teacher meetings to encourage teachers to take advantage of the Free Store. Will be provided talking points and prizes to give away and more. Must be comfortable speaking to small groups and have good customer service skills.
